About

The life of Elizabeth van den Akker

I would like to tell you about a woman named Elizabeth van den Akker., nickname “mom”.

At 17 years old she met her soul mate, the love of her life and married him 2 years later with permission of the Dutch Queen because she was not yet an adult according to the Dutch law. She describes her marriage as being built on pure love, equality, respect and trust. A little later there was the first daughter, the family of three soon welcomed the second daughter, and a third daughter after that. Now the family of 5 was complete.

Elizabeth always says that you are never too old to learn. Most of her life she worked in Family home care and it didn’t matter if you were rich or poor, she helped those that she could. She has always kept a special place in her heart for the elderly, children and animals.

In 1999 the family of 5 picked up there things and moved Canada. They had been there many times before and fell in love with the country and the people, Canada was considered ‘home’. The history, mentality, diversity and the culture were the things that she appreciated most. The daughters went their way,one is living with
5 grandchildren in Germany, and the second one with 1 grandson in the netherlands. And the jongest daughter is living still in Canada.

Now 8 years later, living as a permanent resident of Canada, and not having any plans of leaving, it is time for something new. She is starting something completely different, she is learning about computers, email, websites, marketing and everything in between. Because again according to her ‘you are never too old to learn’. She is taking her own life in her own hands, and making sure she can provide for herself.

She has recently connected to the Friendswin University, my VM team and making new friends in the process. She wants to help people by providing the tools they need to market and grow their online businesses.

I would like to thank you for your time, and reading about this wonderful woman and her life.

Sincerely,
Jose van den Akker
